I’m heartbroken as I’m writing this tribute.  My mind and heart go back to when I was 4yrs old, and you came to pick me up from home to take me out.  As I grew older, you took me to spend the weekends with you, and we would sit in your house all day talking about everything under the sun.  I was your little pet. I admired you, learned from you and was inspired by you.

Thank you for being so sweet, humble, compassionate and gentle.  Thank you for showing me the importance of loving people and treating everyone with dignity and respect, irrespective of their background or who they are.

Thank you for showing me that standing up for those who can’t defend themselves is as important as standing up for oneself. Some people make you a better person from simply being around them.  Oyinbo, you were one of those people.

When we spoke on January 2nd, I was so sure you would soon be back on your feet because you overcame so many adversities in life, which is why I often called you Iwin.

I’m grateful to God for the time we shared and for your life here on earth.  I know that heaven rejoiced as it welcomed you home.

Oyinbo, your love and service to others will never be forgotten.

Good night my Iwin.

Rest in perfect peace.
