I submitted to the will of the Almighty God and made up my mind to rather celebrate you for all you were, both to me and indeed to the multitude of our Lagos4Lagos members across the globe who fondly call you “Mama Jandor”, in sheer recognition of the motherly role you played on this course that lines us up for a date with history.

You were a strong pillar of support who characterized love, strength, and rare courage. With no cares in the world, you stood firm and identified with us even when it was dangerously unfashionable to do so. Fearlessly, you deployed everything at your disposal to give our project the needed boost. How can I ever forget your ever constant telephone calls and quick visits to check on me and deliver those cherished wise nuggets?

No! I choose not to mourn you but to continue to celebrate your efforts and tenacity.

Yes, we wish you’d tarry just a little longer; we will march on, onto our desired destination and make you look down on us with nothing but a mother’s pride while we, in accordance to your wishes, make life more meaningful for residents of Lagos, especially the needy and vulnerable.

Thank you, Mama Jandor. Abiyamo tooto!

Rest on…

Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor)
