and former colleague in Lagos State Executive Council, Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya is shocking, sad and a great loss to Lagosians, Nigerians and humanity in general.

Deploying her rich experience, Princess Ogunsanya contributed greatly to the development of Lagos as the Secretary to the State Government between 2007 to 2011. Indeed, the achievements of that administration cannot be discussed without the acknowledgement of her modest inputs and contributions.

Before her appointment into the cabinet, where she served without blemish, Princess Adeniran Ogunsanya has made her mark as an unrelenting advocate of greater inclusion of women and other disadvantaged groups in social, economic and political spheres.

Threading the path of the famous Adeniran Ogunsanya, the patriarch of the family who served meritoriously as Minister in the First Republic, Princess Adenrele was devoted to public service, just as she was a notable grassroots politician and mobiliser, who made invaluable contributions to the growth and victories of our party in Lagos State. Certainly, her warm disposition, humanness and generosity would be sorely missed by the people of the historic town of Ikorodu, Lagos State. As we mourn her passage, we should be comforted by the fact that she lived an impactful and fulfilled life.
On behalf of my family, I extend my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends, political associates, Lagosians and Nigerians in general. I pray God to grant us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May Almighty God grant her gentle soul peaceful repose and comfort the family she left behind in Jesus Name, Amen.
