I’ll miss the way she smiled. And the way she laughed when she was being mischievous.
I’ll miss how easily she forgave others. And how she always had a kind word to say about those who treated her badly.
I’ll miss her kindness and generosity.
I’ll miss how she always wanted to do the right thing even if it was hard.
I’ll especially miss the way whenever she wanted a hug, she’d always say it was because she thought I needed one.
But most of all, and even though I’m grateful for the time we had, I’ll miss the time we should have spent together now that she is gone.
Because I haven’t just lost a mother, I lost my best friend.
